Wednesday Wisdom
God withholds what we desire in order us what we need. You desire a spouse; he gives you himself. You seek a larger church; he prefers a stronger church. You want to be healed so you can serve. He wants you confined so you can pray.

Music Review: Just James
In two words... Hot Fiya!! yes.. fiya is the only way I can describe the recent release of PAJAM's own J Moss, Just James.. Moss hails from the city that birthed artists like The Clark Sisters, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Kierra Sheard. Just James was released August 25, of this year, it was just what I needed to end my summer of great music. This release is wonderfully written and expertly produced by Moss himself.
This album is truly a powerful expression of Moss's talent. Favorites on the album include: Rebuild, Sweet Jesus, Anointing (which made me fall straight out, he channels The Clark Sisters', Endow Me which is my favorite Clark Sister song of ALL time) and last but not least Holy One.
Pick it up.. You will be blessed!

Wednesday Wisdom
When we love someone, we take the entire package.
No picking and choosing. No large helpings of the good and passing on the bad.
Love is a package deal.

3 Months In....
Today is my 3 month anniversary of being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes.
This month was better than last month. I'm over the anger stage, and I'm starting to take control of my health.
I've begun to workout each week, I've upgraded my diet plan, and I pray EVERY day about my health. Things are looking better for me today, then they were yesterday. God is...
So today, my post is a few lines of a song that means a lot to me right now.
For my life, lord I thank you, For every victory in you, I've seen and all the moments I know it was you who kept me. So I thank you for, for my life. Dear God-Smokie Norful

Great Read: Fifth Born by Zelda Lockhart
Good Evening folks..
On one of my recent trips to my favorite book store (Half Price Books) I made it a point to pick out books by authors that I had never read before... Boy was I in for a treat!
I picked up Fifth Born by Zelda Lockhart.
W.O.W, that's all I can say.
Zelda gives us the story of Odessa, the fifth born child in a terribly troubled family. The book is set in St. Louis Missouri, as well as rural Mississippi. Ms. Lockhart does a wonderful job of painting a picture of these cities from the red clay dirt to the orange yellow sun high in the sky. You are truly in for a treat as you are taken on a roller coaster ride by the Blackburn family.
I don't want to give away the best details of the book.. so with that..
I'm out! Check it out! Support this talented African American woman.
*Peace
